Welcome to OnTrack Coffee Consulting!
Why use On Track Coffee Consulting?
We are a team
Midwest Barista School (MBS), a leading coffee consulting and training company, provides industry education, training and strategic development to new or existing coffee businesses. Jack Groot opened JP's Coffee and Espresso Bar in 1993. It was the first real coffeehouse in the area and one of the first in West Michigan. Jack realized he needed many things to be successful, but most of all great people. He had spent much time before opening JP's researching coffee, but without a group of like minded people he would never succeed. Since that time he has put together just such a team. This team of people is the core of the Midwest Barista School's staff.

We recommend other companies, products and services
Our goal as consultants and teachers is as follows:- Educate clients and students in coffee and business - We continually improve what we do ourselves and teach others from our experiences, our failures and our success.
- Help people make the best decisions for them - We recognize that no two projects are the same and that varying people with unique goals require answers geared specifically to them. We do not have a "one-size-fits-all" mentality.
- Offer and/or recommend products, services and companies to help people accomplish their goals - We offer a specific set of services and products to the industry. When we don't do something ourselves we typically know of other reputable companies who do.
We do not take referral fees from companies. We just tell you who we think is good and you take it from there. When we quote prices on coffee or espresso equipment, we do it to be competitive and hopefully save our clients money. We do (hopefully) make money on a sale, but it is a competitive quote. We often quote various brands and we definitely have our favorites, but we don't get a kick-back for recommending a specific brand.
We have lots of opinions, but that is what people pay us for! It's called experience.
